In a manifesto of his Yisrael Beitenu party published Friday, Avigdor Lieberman says he favors ceding Arab majority areas in northern Occupied Lands to a future Palestinian state and providing economic incentives for Arab who live in Occupied Lands _ about 20 percent of Occupied Lands population of 8 million _ to encourage them to emigrate.

The manifesto does not set out positions on the most difficult issues in the Israel-Palestinian conflict, including the status of East Al-Quds, the future of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and occupied lands borders.

Once a close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Lieberman is now seen as harboring prime ministerial ambitions himself.

His offer to pay Arabs to leave comes as Netanyahu pushes forward with a contentious parliamentary bill to formalize Zionist status as a “Jewish state” _ a measure that many Arab say will institutionalize their status as second class citizens.

The bill, which Netanyahu says is necessary to safeguard the regime future, is opposed by a wide range of Zionists political figures, including the largely ceremonial president, but is strongly supported by right wing members of his ruling coalition, including Lieberman.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired tear gas at several dozen demonstrators at the Qalandiya checkpoint north of East Al-Quds following weekly prayers Friday.

The clashes came amid tensions in the area, mostly Zionists measures to allow Jewish presence at a Al-Aqsa holy site.Such a move would break a status quo that has been in effect since Zionists captured the area in the 1967 War.

ITALIAN MAN SERIOUSLY WOUNDED AT WEST BANK PROTEST

Ramallah Hospital director Ahmad Bitawi says 30-year-old Patrick Corsi was shot during a peaceful protest Friday in the village of Kufr Qadom, near Nablus.

Village resident Khaldon Ishtawi said Israeli forces opened fire without provocation on about 400 protesters from a distance of about 40 meters and shot Corsi in the chest.

In Jordan, Muslim Brotherhood to hold a demonstration against Israeli "violations" regarding the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in East Al-Quds.

An estimated 1,500 protesters set off from the Husseini mosque in downtown Amman holding up signs saying "Al-Aqsa is in danger".

Jordan has custodianship over the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in East Al-Quds which is holy to Muslims and other Muslim holy sites in annexed Arab East Al-Quds, which the Palestinians want as the capital of their future state.

East Al-Quds has been hit by months of violence, which has spread across the occupied West Bank and to Arab communities inside Occupied Lands.

The tensions soared earlier this month when Israeli forces entered Al-Aqsa during clashes triggered by a vow by far-right Jewish groups to pray at the holy site.

Against that background, the Zionist government endorsed Sunday a proposal to enshrine in law the Zionist’s status as the “national homeland of the Jewish people”.

The Palestinian leadership has said the law "kills" the Middle East peace process and namely the creation of a Palestinian state side by side Israel.

Critics have also said the move will institutionalize discrimination against 1.7 million Arab in occupied lands.The Zionist parliament is to vote on the law on Wednesday.
