The commander of a Syria-based insurgent gang known as ‘al-Haramein’ which is affiliated with anti-Damascus opposition group called ‘Free Syria Army’ (FSA) has confessed to having ties with the Zionist regime.

The confession by Sharif al-Safouri was revealed recently in a video footage released by the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front terrorist group, al-Alam Arabic News Network reported Sunday.

Al-Safouri admits in the video piece that he has entered Israeli occupied territories five times to meet with Zionist regime’s military officers.

He further asserted that members of the anti-Damascus armed groups would receive military support and medical services on the condition of providing security for the border areas where they were to meet with Zionist officers.

The FSA mercenary also noted that the Tel Aviv regime furnished him with anti-tank and light weaponry.

Al-Safouri was abducted by armed elements of al-Nusra in al-Qunaitara region near the occupied Palestinian territories.

The FSA and other Western-backed insurgent groups fighting against the Syrian government have long been suspected of having regular ties with the Israeli regime and in a number of instances Syria’s foreign-based opposition figures have openly expressed interest in establishing ties with Tel Aviv, which remains Syria’s top enemy and security threat.
