According to a statement by the foreign-based opposition group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday, 79 people were wounded in the attacks overnight.
More than a dozen districts, including Mazzeh district and central Abu Rummaneh, were reportedly targeted.
The group said that the death toll was expected to rise as several of those wounded were in serious condition.
The deaths come just days after foreign-sponsored militants targeted residential areas in Damascus, killing 12 civilians and injuring tens of others.
Takfiri militants have increased their deadly attacks against civilians in the outskirts of Damascus, as the Syrian government has been making gains in the battle against the foreign-backed terrorists.
Syria has been the scene of deadly violence since March 2011. Over 170,000 people have reportedly been killed and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by the Western-backed militants.
The US and its regional allies, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are reportedly giving financial and military support to the militants.
