The Gaza-based resistance fighters further explained in a Thursday military statement that they had managed to sneak behind the intruding Israeli forces stationed in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City and kill the eight Israeli soldiers.
The resistance fighters, according to the statement, also destroyed and Israeli troopship with an RPG-29 rocket.
Al-Qassam Brigades also added that their forces had struck an Israeli tank with a bomb in Khan Yunis area and that its fighters were engaged in fierce fighting with the occupation forces in Beit Hanoun on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip.
The death toll during the Israeli brutal aggression in Gaza climbed to over 740 on Thursday as the Zionist tank fire before dawn killed 16 more people in the coastal enclave, including six members of the same family, Palestinian health officials said.
The US-backed Israeli regime has so far lost 32 soldiers and military officers in addition to 250 injured during clashes inside Gaza and with Hamas fighters that have sneaked past the fortified frontier into the occupied territories using tunnels.
