Avigdor Lieberman made the derogatory outburst on Wednesday after learning that the UN agency plans to launch an investigation into Israel’s persisting brutal military campaign against the densely-populated Palestinian enclave.
“We will continue to fight terror and continue to fight the hypocrisy and anti-Semitism of bodies such as the UNHRC,” Lieberman claimed.
The UNHRC’s decision to launch the inquiry was made shortly after the agency’s chief Navi Pillay stated that there is a “strong possibility” that the Tel Aviv regime was violating international law in its military operations against the impoverished territory.
The development comes as the Israeli regime has been widely condemned across the globe for its merciless attacks on the civilian population of Gaza that have so far killed nearly 730 people, including many women and children, and left thousands more injured.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livni also accused the UNHRC of “supporting terrorism” and insisted that the Zionist regime will “continue to fight terrorism.”
