Danish journalist Allan Sorensen posted an image on Twitter, which shows residents watching and celebrating Gaza being bombed. Sorensen has confirmed he took the picture on Wednesday night (July 9) at a hilltop in the frontline Israeli city Sderot.
"Israelis bringing chairs to hilltop in Sderot to watch latest from Gaza, clapping when blasts are heard," he explained in caption of one of his photos.
This is while, people held demonstrations in Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Tunisia, Indonesia, the United States, France and the United Kingdom on Friday.
More than 100 people, including women and children, have been killed in the latest round of Israeli offensive against the besieged enclave since Tuesday.
In November 2012, over 160 Palestinians were killed and about 1,200 others were injured in Israel’s eight-day offensive on the coastal enclave.
