Citing a Police Command source, Syrian state news agency SANA reported on Friday that the mortar shell used in the terror attack landed on Danoun Camp and that one of those killed in the incident was a 4-year-old child.
According to the report, those injured in the terrorist attack were admitted in hospitals nearby for medical treatment.
The source further added that the mortar attack also caused material damages to the site.
The attack comes as Syria’s nation and government prepare for a nationwide presidential election on June 3.
Foreign-backed opposition and terrorists, however, have vowed to continue with their military and terrorist operations to disrupt the upcoming presidential poll.
