According to medics cited in a Friday report by Palestinian Ma’an news agency, 11 protesters were slightly injured by rubber-coated steel bullets, while another four suffered more serious injures, including two people that were shot in the head.
Palestinian teenager Tamar Obeid, 17, was also detained during East al-Quds clashes.
Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at the entrance to the East al-Quds neighborhood of Issawiya after locals organized a demonstration to protest the killing of the two Palestinians youths killed during a Nakba Day rally on Thursday.
This is while undercover Israeli forces detained 10-year-old Said Abu Nab and teenagers Muhammad and Fayez al-Abbasi in Silwan neighborhood without providing details.
Clashes were also reported in the East al-Quds neighborhood of Anata but there were no reports of injuries.
Palestinian across the world hold protest rallies every year on May 15, to mark Nakba Day and renew their outrage over the forcible eviction of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homeland.
Also on Thursday, more than 150 people gathered near Ofer prison, outside Ramallah, calling for the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. Israeli security forces shot one protester there.
