In an online message on its Twitter account, the notorious terrorist group identified the ISIL terror chief as Abu-Osama al-Maghrebi and insisted that he was killed in northern Syrian city of Aleppo.
This is while the ISIL elements have published a statement on their own Twitter page, confirming the death of al-Maghrebi without alluding to his leadership role and his duties.
ISIL also published a photo of al-Maghrebi’s corps.
Both al-Nusra Front and ISIL are notorious al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups that operate mostly in Syria but also in Iraq and Lebanon. They are widely believed to be backed by Saudi Arabia and its Persian Gulf allies.
