11 Israeli fighter jets breach Lebanese airspace: Army

The Lebanese Army has recorded a series of Israeli violations to Lebanese airspace including by eight warplanes.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Army said that between 1:40 p.m. and 4 p.m. six Israeli warplanes entered Lebanese airspace.

The jets made their entry from above Aytaroun and Rmeish, two villages in south Lebanon, as well as the northern town of Batroun.

The jets conducted aerial maneuvers over various areas, the statement said.

They made their exit at 5:05 p.m., flying over the Mediterranean Sea west of the southern village of Naqoura and west of the northern city of

Tripoli, with the latter aircraft taking a flight path toward Turkish territories, the Lebanese Army said.

Two other warplanes entered Lebanon at 12:40 p.m. from above Rmeish and left 15 minutes later above Naqoura.

Around 4 p.m., one Israeli reconnaissance jet entered Lebanese airspace above the southern village of Kfar Kila and conducted aerial maneuvers over the eastern towns of Riyaq, Baalbek and Hermel.

One reconnaissance plane entered from above Alma Shaab and flew in a circular path over Riyaq, Baalbek, Hermel and the Cedars Tuesday night and left at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Another reconnaissance aircraft circulated over the western Bekaa Valley and the south and left an hour-and-a-half later.
