A notorious ringleader of the al-Nusra Front terrorist group in Syria has been killed in militants’ infighting over the spoils of conflict and foreign weapons.

Ahmad al sokhoni, known as Bin Laden of the al-Nusra in the Ma`din al Atiq region, and a number of militants were killed when the infighting broke out on Monday.

Also in the city of al-Mayadin, a big number of insurgents were killed during infighting between rival militant groups under the command of Abu Mohamed al-Jawlani and Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi. The militants were fighting over looted properties.

Meanwhile, reports out of Syria say the army has taken full control of the al-Eyn farmlands on the outskirts of the western city of Homs, killing a large number of foreign-backed militants in several neighborhoods of the strategic city.

The Wall Street Journal reported on June 26 that the US spy agency CIA has begun transferring weapons to Jordan in an attempt to arm the Takfiri militants fighting against the Syrian government.

Turmoil has gripped Syria for over two years, and many people, including large numbers of Syrian soldiers and security personnel, have been killed in the foreign-sponsored militancy.
