Conditions are reported to be gravely hard for some 70 thousands residents of these towns as the insurgents have tightened their grip over people and carried out daily attacks on them to prevent them from contacting the army or any outsider.
Food and medicines have been scarce for months and if people survive epidemic diseases, they may lose their lives within a second at the hands of insurgents who have shown no mercy on people.
Insurgents who control the area are mostly Libyans, Caucasians and Afghans.
Following reports of people’s alarming hardship in Nubbul and al-Zahra, a peacekeeping group arranged a meeting with the insurgents to hear their demands, while sending humanitarian aid to people.
Instead of talking to the representative group, insurgents abducted them and now there is no information on their whereabouts and conditions.
According to our correspondent who is in the area, insurgents have started shelling some residential areas, to threaten the Syrian army.
They call their attacks “Qusayr retaliation” which have already taken many victims including women and children.
One of the residents in the surrounding villages who lost his 3-year old daughter in a mortar attack said, “What had my little girl done wrong? On what basis was she deprived of life”?
All the streets are empty and people do not dare leave their homes as they would be shot by armed men moving through the town.
“Last week, a shopkeeper managed to bring in some food supplies and along with several other people, I went to his shop,” another resident told our correspondent. “The armed men fired mortar shells at the shop, killing a boy and several other people. I was wounded in the attack too… It was a horrible scene.”
“My son took some food to his brother’s home. They (the militants) attacked them with shells and killed them both,” a mother cried hard.
“Unfortunately, the truth about what is really happening in Syria is not reflected in media nowadays and supporters of the war do their best to show a contradictory image of the reality,” our correspondent said. “If people of the world knew about the suffering of people who face aggressions by so many insurgents who stole an internal protest for reforms and turned it into an ugly war marked with hatred and gruesome acts, they would not let any country send even one more gun to continue the war for even a day.”
Syria crisis started as pro-reform protests but with interventions by the United States, UK and their regional and western allies it soon turned to a massive insurgency which took in numerous terrorist groups from all over Europe and the Middle East to wage one of the bloodiest wars the region has ever experienced.
The war, which many fear is turning to a “war of hatred”, has already taken more than 90,000 lives.
