Syrian soldiers engaged in heavy clashes with the militants in Dariya as they tried to approach to the capital.

A group of militants had infiltrated to the western side of Hazrat Sakina shrine, where they were targeted by army soldiers who tried to block their further advancement.
A military commander told our reporter that the army is closely watching militants’ movements in Dariya and also in other areas in Rif Dimashq.
He said heavy clashes were also going on in Barzeh and Qaboun, both in Rif Dimashq, and causalities are reported to be high among militants.
The army is trying to tighten its grip around Jobar and Barzeh, which are more volatile due to large presence of terrorist groups threatening the capital.
Syrian army has made considerable gains against foreign-backed terrorists during the past months, which has made many of them either flee or surrender.
However with the support of the United States and its western and regional allies for arming the militants, concerns are still high for Syrian people who have suffered a massive bloodshed for more than two year.
In the face of international efforts to bring the bloodshed to an end, the White House announced on Friday that they are going to provide the militants with lethal aid and heavy arms so that they could compensate their recent losses.
