The government troops on Thursday clashed with terrorist groups in two villages near the western town.
A number of terrorists have been killed during the clashes.
On Wednesday, explosive devices planted by the terrorist groups were defused in different parts of the town.
The government is trying to bring the town back to normal as soon as possible.
Syrian military forces have dismantled the terrorist groups in the strategic town, which borders Lebanon.
After nearly two weeks of intense clashes between the terrorists and Syrian soldiers, the town, which was one of the main bastions of the terrorist al-Nusra Front and other militant groups, was freed and came under complete control of the army on Wednesday.
The Syrian Army also reported that it has obtained documents confirming the role of Arab and non-Arab countries in the Syria crisis.
Syria has been gripped by a deadly unrest since March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of government forces, have been killed in the violence.
Damascus says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside, and that the militants are supported by the West and its regional allies including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
