In a statement issued on Friday, leading Bahraini human rights activists said the main purpose behind intensifying security measures by Al-Khalifa regime is to revenge citizens who are demanding political reforms.
The statement added that the lack of political will within international bodies has caused the Bahraini regime to ignore the recommendations of UN-led fact-finding commission and refuse to adopt the Geneva Conventions regarding the Human Right.
This matter has already encouraged the military forces royal to Al-Khalifa regime to resume their misbehavior towards Bahrain citizens, the statement added.
Earlier on Wednesday, Bahraini regime forces attacked the funeral procession of a man identified as Omran al-Seyed who died after inhaling toxic tear gas used by regime forces in the village of Karzakan.
The Bahraini revolution began in mid-February 2011, when the people, inspired by the popular revolutions that toppled the dictators of Tunisia and Egypt, started holding massive demonstrations.
The Bahraini government promptly launched a brutal crackdown on the peaceful protests and called in Saudi-led Arab forces from neighboring states.
Dozens of people have been killed in the crackdown, and the security forces have arrested hundreds, including doctors and nurses accused of treating injured revolutionaries.
