A video emerged showing rubble left over following the destruction of the mosque in the ancient city of Aleppo. 

The minaret of the Umayyad Mosque also was demolished by al-Nusra terrorist group during clashes in the northern city in April. 

Syrian officials had said that the terrorists blew up the minaret in their attacks on the city.
