A top Iranian military commander says Israel’s recent war rhetoric against Iran are all “bluff and empty,” describing the threats as “psychological operations aimed at internal gains.”

“Unfortunately, today global peace and security is threatened by totalitarians, especially the United States and Israel… Iran is openly threatened with military invasion and the international community doesn’t show any reaction” to such threats, Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri told Al-Alam on Tuesday.

“The world is expected to react to such military threats,” he added.

Jazayeri remarks come as Israel regime’s Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Benny Gantz repeated warmongering rhetoric against the Islamic Republic, claiming Tel Aviv can invade Iran on its own.

"We have our plans and forecasts... If the time comes we'll decide" on whether to take military action against Iran, he was quoted as saying on public radio in East al-Quds.

Jazayeri went on to say that “those who have military knowledge know very well that Iran has developed to a high point in military and defense capabilities” that can defend itself against possible attacks by its enemies.

Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister for Military Affairs Moshe Ya'alon have also made hostile remarks against Iran, trying to find excuses for firing the flames of yet another war in the Middle East.

Jazayeri also said that the history of the Israeli regime was full of wars and bloodshed.

“They attacked Lebanon and suffered a historic defeat against Hezbollah resistance group… then they attacked Gaza Strip and again suffered a humiliating loss, “he said.

The Zionist regime of Israeli which is the only nuclear-armed body in the Middle East has long threatened to launch a military invasion on Iran and has fueled a huge propaganda aimed at showing a false face of Iran civilian nuclear program.

Iran is conducting a civilian nuclear program aimed at fulfilling future energy needs of country’s 75 million population.
