David Cameron’s attempts to force the EU into pressuring Hezbollah come as British observers believe the Zionist lobby enjoys a big domination over the UK’s political and media decision-makers, Al Alam correspondent reported from London.
Jeremy Corbin MP told the al-Alam reporter that the imposition of sanctions on Hezbollah or any other groups in the region serves nobody’s interests.
“Instead of such measures, we should try to end the sufferings of the Palestinians”, Corbin said.
British expert Jim Brown also told al Alam that the UK government’s recent measures against Hezbollah are linked with the Zionist lobby and the U.S. pressures.
Brown stressed that bringing up this issue by the UK government, once again, makes clear the Zionist lobby’s influence on the British governmental and media organizations.
Meanwhile, Andrew Mary, a British political author and analyst, told al Alam correspondent: “Hezbollah represents Lebanese resistance. I am opposed to imposing sanctions of this group because it means putting pressure on Lebanon and violating its sovereignty. In fact, British policies suffer a major problem, which has not changed since the era of arrogance.”
