Qasim Habib Marzuq was killed due to respiratory problems caused by poisonous tear gas, fired by Bahraini police forces. A video which was filmed by Bahraini protesters, showed the attack on the boy’s house in Karbabad neighborhood.
Hundreds of mourners staged a protest march following the burial, but were dispersed by riot police firing tear gas and stun grenades.
Rights groups and others have complained about intense and poisonous tear gas use by Bahraini forces during nearly two years of unrest.
