At least 43 people have been killed and over 400 other injured in two days of bloody clashes between protesters and militiamen across the Libyan capital city of Tripoli.
Eastern Libya has declared an autonomous regional government with an official ceremony to challenge the weak central government’s failure in assuming unifying power over rebels and various tribes.
Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was released on Thursday several hours after being seized from a Tripoli hotel by former rebel militiamen, the foreign minister said.
