Kurdish SDF Drive Daesh From 130 Villages in Raqqa

Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have driven the so-called Islamic State (ISIS or Daesh) Militia from 133 villages in the northeastern Syrian Raqqa province during the second phase of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, the SDF said in a Friday statement.

In cooperation with Russian forces, the Syrian Army took control of the strategically important Kızıldağ region on Thursday morning, an area located in the Bayırbucak region populated mostly by Turkmens, after intense clashes with a Turkmen militia, according to local reports.
