(tasnim) -- On Monday, Syrian government forces secured the families’ arrival in al-Mayadeen and helped them reside in makeshift settlements with all their basic needs.
In turn, the evacuees expressed their happiness as they managed to escape from ISIS terrorism, calling on civilians who live in the areas where ISIS is positioned to head to the nearest points of the Syrian Arab Army.
On October 14, Syrian army soldiers, supported by allied fighters from popular defense groups, liberated the strategic eastern city of Mayadeen from the clutches of Isis Takfiri terrorists in the country’s eastern province of Deir ezzor.
The loss of Mayadeen, located about 44 kilometers southeast of Deir ezzor, was the latest in a string of blows to the Isis Takfiris, who are on the verge of collapse in the Arab country.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. The Syrian government says the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies are aiding Takfiri terrorist groups wreaking havoc in the country.
