Alalam - Syria
Turkish warplanes pounded 14 Islamic State targets in Al-Bab and Bzagah towns in northern Syria on Friday (January 13), the military said in a statement on Saturday (January 14).
Eight safe houses, two armed vehicles, two headquarters and two firing positions belonging to so-called Islamic State (ISIS) militants were destroyed in Friday's air strikes, it said.
The airstrikes were launched as Syrian rebels, backed by Turkish troops and firepower, besiege Islamic State controlled al-Bab as part of the four-month-old Euphrates Shield operation to push the terrorists and Kurdish militia away from Turkey's border.
