Alalam - Syria
The reservists will likely be deployed to the captured areas of eastern Aleppo and western Damascus; this will allow for a large number of Syrian Arab Army soldiers that participated in the mentioned fronts to be redeployed to another Frontlines.
The call for the reservists comes just days after the Syrian Arab Army announced the conclusion of their east Aleppo military operations.
Many of the reservists have had military training in the past and do not need to be inducted in the Syrian Arab Army, which makes their deployment to the front-lines much less stressful.
While the number of reservists has not been revealed yet by the Syrian Arab Army's High Command, the total is expected to rival the 1973 sum, Almasdar reports.
The Yom Kippur War, Ramadan War, or October War also known as the 1973 Arab–Israeli War, was a war fought by the coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria against Israel from October 6 to 25, 1973. In this war Syrian army issued nationwide reserves call.
