The entire collection of tanks, planes and other military vehicles of the Normandy Tank Museum in Catz, France, is going under the hammer on Sunday.
The vehicles being sold off include a restored 1944 Chrysler Sherman tank, estimated to go for a sum between 250,000 and 400,000 Euros (279,000 to 446,000 US dollars) as well as jeeps, aircraft and motorcycles, which were involved in D-Day.
Most have been restored to full working order.
Patrick Nerrant, the founder of the private museum located only few miles from Utah Beach where the Allied forces landed in 1944, has gathered the exhibits since the 1980s.
The museum is having to close because of falling visitor numbers and rising costs.
Hundreds of military experts are expected to flock to the auction.
