Fire crews extinguished the fire shortly afterwards and the bus was towed away. Passengers escaped serious injuries but three were taken to hospital suffering from minor smoke inhalation, according to local media.
Motorists traveling in the area were warned to expect extensive delays and urged to find alternative routes, local media said.
