Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday denied western media reports on a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Major General Qassem Soleimani.
Fox News once again reported that General Soleimani had arrived in Moscow to meet with Putin, citing sources in the US reconnaissance services.
“No,” Peskov said in response to whether Putin was to hold a meeting with General Soleimani.
Fox News and several other news outlets had already reported earlier this year on possible visits of General Soleimani to Russia. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied all reports.
Fox News had claimed General Soleimani has visited Moscow for the second time.
General Soleimani is the head of Iran's elite Quds force that is the IRGC arms abroad. He is the leader of the anti-terrorism war in the region and due to his vitally sensitive job and the grave dangers posed to his life by various Takfiri terrorists and Israeli and American secret services, his exact location is unknown to almost everyone except a very limited number of people.
His activities and plans are always conducted in secret, except for very few cases.
