The army units seized several tons of explosives and tens of boxes packed with rockets, missiles and explosives used for making bombs.
On Sunday, the Syrian army and popular forces in a major conquest seized back Palmyra in the Eastern part of Homs province after several days of tough battle with the ISIS terrorists.
The Syrian government troops are now in full control of Palmyra city.
Palmyra was under ISIS control from May 2015. The terrorist group has since destroyed part of the city, which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.
On Saturday, the Syrian army won back a key hill and a village and disconnected ISIS's vital supply route from Raqqa province to Palmyra.
The Syrian army and popular forces took full control of Sukra village and hill in Homs province on Saturday and then also cut off the terrorists' logistical supply route between Raqqa and Palmyra city.
"The ISIS tried to dispatch military hardware and equipment to Palmyra from Raqqa and Deir Ezzor provinces, but the Russian and Syrian warplanes stopped the terrorist group's movement on the road with massive airstrikes," an informed source said.
Also on Saturday, the Syrian army and popular forces managed to take full control of a major supply line to the West and Southwest of Palmyra city.
The army units took full control of ISIS's Quaryatayn-Palmyra supply route in a bid to prevent flow of supplies to the ISIS terrorists in the Western and Southwestern parts of Palmyra.
The ISIS's logistic and supply routes from the West and Southwestern parts of Palmyra are disconnected now.
The Syrian army also managed to disconnect Quaryatayn and Palmyra from each other by taking full control over the Quaryatayn-Palmyra highway.
The ISIS militants have sustained heavy casualties and losses in fierce clashes with the Syrian army in recent days, FNA reported.
