He made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani.
Al-Fayad congratulated Iran on implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and praised Iran's strategic role in the regional security and stability.

Al-Fayad called for boost of ties between Iran and Iraq, adding that the two countries’ constructive relations are exemplary in the region.
For his part, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani on Sunday praised Iraqi national unity in campaign against terrorism.
The successes the Iraqi Army and the volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) have made in fight against Takfiri terrorism are the fruit of political and security solidarity among the Iraqi nation, Shamkhani added.
He hailed the guidelines of Iraqi religious authority, good management of its vigilant leadership and Iraqi nation's resistance as other factors which led to victory of Iraqi people over terrorists.
United Iraq will reach its desired position in the region and world in all political, economic and security fields, Shamkhani said.
He noted that boost of ties with neighbors is Iran's foreign policy priority, adding that removal of Iran's sanctions paves the way for Islamic Republic to open a new chapter in its cooperation with the word.
Unfortunately, certain regional states are following the lines of enemies of Islam and provoke sectarian and religious divide in the region, Shamkhani added.
He said that terrorism poses the major threat to global security and world peace.
It has now become clear for the world that who is really fighting terrorism and who claims so, Shamkhani added.
He called for carrying out the agreements already made on border demarcation between Iran and Iraq, saying that the agreement would encourage border trade between the two states.
