A bomb disposal team was immediately sent to Skavsta Airport, in the city of Nykoping, 60 miles southwest of the capital Stockholm.
“The baggage and departure halls were evacuated, which has affected departing flights but not arrivals,” police duty officer Roland Lindkvist said.
The woman in question has not yet been identified.
Lindkvist said: She says she doesn’t know how the powder got on her bag.”
He added: "There are no known threats to the airport and we have no reason not to trust the person in question."
