While the Army members were carrying a raid on his house, the wanted fugitive Mohammad Hamzeh tossed two grenades at them causing the injury of seven servicemen, among them two officers, a communiqué issued by Army Command- Guidance Directorate said on Saturday.

On November 12, 44 people were killed and some 240 others wounded when two large explosions claimed by the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group targeted the Hussainiyah Street in the crowded Borj al-Barajneh neighborhood in a southern suburb of Beirut.

According to Lebanese officials, the terrorists initially planned to send five attackers to a hospital in the area. However, the plan was changed due to heavy security presence.

So far, about a dozen people have been detained in connection with the blasts, including seven Syrian nationals and two Lebanese.

Daesh terrorists have been committing gruesome crimes and terrorizing members of various communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians in the Middle East.

Over the past months, Lebanon’s army and the country’s resistance movement Hezbollah have been carrying out operations against the terrorist groups of al-Nusra Front and Daesh in the town of Arsal on the border with Syria.

Hezbollah has also been helping the government in Damascus in its fight against terrorists in Syria; Press TV reported.
