The Sony's Playstation Network hack in April 2011 saw hackers exploit a weakness in Sony's network to steal around 100 million user accounts' information, including bank account numbers, customer names and addresses.
Sony was fined £250,000 by British regulators for failing to protect its users from their personal details being leaked online in April 2011.
