On Friday Saudi-led Airstrikes Kill 120; Deadliest in Yemen Conflict. Saudi-led coalition airstrikes hit a residential area in a quiet Red Sea town in Yemen, killing at least 120 people in the deadliest strike against civilians since the March offensive began.
Hours later, the Saudi Arabia unexpectedly announced that it would start a five-day humanitarian pause on Sunday, just before midnight.
Today a bomb exploded underneath a passenger bus in Sana’a, killing three people and wounding five according to police.
The incident happened in the Dar Selm area of the capital.
Declared by the Saudi-led coalition the five-day ceasefire is due to come into force at midnight Sunday, with the aim of allowing crucial humanitarian aid to be delivered.
In a country of 25 million people, aid agencies say now 80 percent are in need of some form of aid.
The Saudi has been bombing Yemen since March 26.
The UN children’s agency says at least 365 children have been killed, and 485 have been injured since the raids began.
