The women were killed as Saudi jets targeted a civilian home in a district in the province’s northern regions, Yemen's al-Masirah television network reported late on Saturday.

According to reports, Saudi Arabia used cluster bombs while attacking targets in the Harad region of the country’s northwestern Hajjah province.

Several raids were carried out in the country's northwestern provinces of Sa’ada, Amran and Jawf.

Saudi warplanes also bombed targets in the country’s southwestern Lahij province. 

Meanwhile, Yemeni troops backed by Ansarullah fighters carried out retaliatory attacks against a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern Jizan region and an attacked al-Qaeda positions in Taizz.

Earlier in the day, Riyadh announced a five-day ceasefire in its deadly military aggression against Yemen to be carried out from Sunday.

Saudi Arabia launched military aggression against Yemen on March 26 – without a UN mandate – in an attempt to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Rupert Colville, the spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said on July 21 that at least 1,693 civilians had been killed and 3,829 others injured in the Arab country since March 26. However, local sources say over 4,500 people have lost their lives ever since.
