The interior ministry said a large explosion hit the mosque in Kudeih in the Shiite-majority Qatif region during the main weekly prayers.
More casualties feared as the blast reported huge and Mosque was populated.
Al-Qatif is a governorate in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and populated by Shiites.
