On Wednesday, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades warned all airliners to stay away from the airport, saying its attacks will start on Thursday at 6:00 a.m. local time.
The Hamas military wing has also asked its political delegation to leave Egypt as soon as possible, describing the truce talks with Israel as useless.
This is while Palestinian resistance fighters stepped up their rocket attacks on Israel on Wednesday in response to the Tel Aviv regime’s renewed onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip following the collapse of a temporary ceasefire on Tuesday.
The Israeli military says Palestinians have fired over 175 rockets into Israel since Tuesday. Palestinians also say one of their rockets targeted Ben-Gurion Airport.
The Qassam Brigades fired M75 rockets at Tel Aviv area, setting off air raid sirens there. Gazan rockets rained down on several other Israeli cities and towns including Beersheba, Eshkol, Ashdod, Ashkelon and Shfela.
Israeli warplanes and tanks have been pounding the Gaza Strip since early July, inflicting heavy loss of life on the blockaded coastal enclave. At least 2,030 people, mostly civilians, have lost their lives and some 10,200 have been injured in the Israeli war on Gaza.
