A bomb explosion has rocked the southern Iraqi holy city of Karbala, wounding at least 17 people, Al-Alam reported.
The explosion was a car bombing attack that took place near the crowded district of Bob Baghdad in central of Karbala, an Al-Alam correspondent says.
Karbala is a major holy city and a pilgrimage center located 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of the capital Baghdad.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
