In an interview with Al-Alam, Iraqi Lawmaker Ali Shalah said on Friday that the Ba’ath Party is seeking to re-establish its cordial relations with those insurgent groups who are managing new wave of bomb blasts across Iraq especially in al-Anbar province and nearby roads.
Referring to the continuous demonstrations held against the current explosions, the lawmaker has dismissed the dissolved Ba'ath Party as part of al-Qaida affiliated group in Iraq, adding that some arrested members of Ba'ath Party have already confessed to their strategic alliance with al-Qaeda.
The lawmaker also condemned the support of Turkey and Qatar from some militant groups and information networks in Iraq, saying that a large number of foreign-backed armed men are entering Iraq through these two countries.
“Establishing certain religious and sectarian views in the region is the main purpose of Turkish government, which has already pushed this country to ignite sectarian violence in Iraq,’ Shalah added.
The Iraqi parliamentarian also pointed out that some government are seeking to devastate liberation movements in the region or even tear down the rationale of creating independent states in Middle East which will eventually lead to the break of unity among Muslim nations.
At least 12 civilians were killed 18 more wounded on Thursday in a mosque bomb blast in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk.
