Speaking to Sudanese media outlets in the capital city of Khartoum, the Iranian official noted that the U.S.-led sanctions and economic pressure will have no serious impact on the country’s nuclear program.
Larijani stressed that Iran’s nuclear technology as well as its nuclear power plant in the southern city of Busherhr conform to the standards issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and there is nothing to worry about.
The Iranian Speaker was answering concerns raised by Kuwaiti representative to Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU) meeting about the possible radiations of Bushehr power plant.
Larijani was in Khartoum to take part in a meeting of IIPU, where he discussed with his counterparts the Palestinian issue as well as other issues of mutual concern.
Larijani also praised IIPU as one of the world’s great bodies, in which the parliaments of Muslim countries could consult and make joint decisions.
