(irna) -- Speaking in a local ceremony, Mohammad Javad Zarif referred to media reports on US decision to blacklist IRGC and said it will be a 'strategic mistake'.

Zarif pointed to Washington's efforts to prevent Iran from benefiting the nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and said, 'Iran has various options and will not permit the US to do this.'

'Iran's defensive capabilities are not negotiable,' he said, noting that the JCPOA is also confirming the idea.

The Iranian foreign minister pointed to huge export of arms to the region and said, 'Those who have changed the region to an ammunition depot, should feel responsible and change their policies in the region.'
