Turkey Says Arrested 30 People Suspected to Have Connection with ISIS

Turkish police detained 30 people suspected of having links with Islamic State in the southern province of Adana, the Dogan news agency reported on Friday, as clashes between Turkish soldiers and the terrorist group intensified in northern Syrian city of Al-Bab.

In an operation backed by helicopters, counter-terror squad police carried out simultaneous raids on 40 addresses in the area, using battering rams to break open doors, the agency said.

It said the suspects were taken to Adana police headquarters after routine health checks.

Turkey launched a military incursion into Syria on August 24 in support of Syrian rebels claimed that trying to drive ISIS away from the border area, and has frequently carried out raids on suspected terrorist safe-houses in Istanbul and other cities, Reuters reports.

Turkey in its incursion in Syria also targeted Kurdish Militia used to fighting ISIS in framework of Syrian Democratic forces or SDF.

Turkey in the first days of its aggression to Syria said its aim to attack Syria is ousting Syrian president Bashar Al Assad then decide to cooperate with Russia, Syria powerful ally.
