Led by the 800th Regiment and Hezbollah, the Syrian Armed Forces managed to expand the buffer-zone around the northern and eastern perimeters of the T-4 Airport, capturing more than 6km worth of territory near the T-4 Pumping Station.
In addition to the assault near the T-4 Pumping Station, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah also captured the Al-Sha'arah Hills located just north of the Abandoned Military Base after a fierce battle with ISIS(Daesh).
According to a military source at the T-4 Airport, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah killed more than 90 ISIS terrorists and destroyed at least 15 armored vehicles, including 5 tanks, over the last 48 hours.
This large-scale cleansing operation is being conducted ahead of the upcoming offensive to liberate the east Homs oil fields and ancient city of Palmyra by the Syrian Arab Army's (SAA) elite "Tiger Forces.", Almasdar reported.
