The source said violent battles are currently taking place in al-Bab and ISIS (ISIL, IS, Daesh) militants are maintaining fierce resistance, Sputnik reported.

Militants blew up a car rigged with explosives, killing ten people.

Some more people sustained injuries and were rushed in critical condition to hospitals in the Turkish province of Gaziantep.

Street fights are still ongoing in al-Bab.

Al-Bab is one of ISIS' last remaining strongholds near the Turkish border.

Capturing the city is of strategic importance to Turkey in order to prevent the Syrian Kurds taking it and unifying their own territories.
