After hours of monitoring terrorist groups' movements, the Syrian Army soldiers traced the exact location of a group of terrorists affiliated to Fatah al-Sham Front (the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) along a road connecting Sakerh in al-Laja region to the Northeastern part of al-Badiyeh and ambushed them.

The army troops also managed to detonate a number of roadside bombs planted by the militants in the same region.

Most of the Fatah al-Sham terrorists, trapped in the ambush, were killed or wounded in the army's surprise attack.

Reports said earlier today that Syrian Army troops and Air Force in separate attacks targeted Jeish al-Islam's bases and defense lines in Eastern Ghouta, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army soldiers targeted the gatherings and bases of Jeish al-Islam in the farms near Douma city, killing a number of militants and destroying their bases and vehicles.

The Syrian warplanes targeted the movements of a group of terrorists in al-Qaboun region and Eastern Ghouta and repelled their attack on government positions in a preemptive move.

The army's artillery and missile units, for their part, targeted the gatherings of Faylaq al-Raham and Fatah al-Sham Front in the Southern side of al-Qaboun region, inflicting casualties on a large number of the militants, and destroying their bases.

Fatah al-Sham and Fayalq al-Rahman retreated from the battlefield.

In the meantime, the army targeted and destroyed a workshop of Liwa Sham al-Rasoul near the town of Bebeila East of Damascus city that was used for manufacturing arms and ammunition.
