Iraqi Popular Forces and Federal Police units destroyed and dismantled ISIS car bombs, IEDs and booby traps in newly captured villages South of Mosul.
Also Iraqi forces regained six oil wells from terror group. ISIS terrorist group members when escaping set ablaze oil wells to have a cover from airstrikes.
The ISIS move takes place concurrent with the start of the Iraqi army's Mosul liberation operation and arrival of hundreds of terrorists from the city of Mosul in Iraq to the Eastern parts of Syria.
"The Iraqi police have taken 6 ISIS terrorists who were wearing women's clothes and trying to flee Fallujah city," the Arabic-language media outlets quoted an unnamed security source as saying.
