In a separate incident along the Gaza Strip frontier, Israeli forces opened fire at a group of Palestinians who approached the border fence, killing one of them, a Palestinian health official said.
According to Israeli military, hundreds of Palestinian protesters had gathered near an Israeli checkpoint.
