Suicide bomber kills 5 including 3 foreign troops, injures 6 Near US Airbase in Afghanistan
A terrorist has detonated himself near the US Armed Forces Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan, killing five military servicemen and leaving at least another six people injured, Afghan Governor Abdul Shukur Kudusi said Monday, Sputnik News reported.
In a tweet, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility and said 19 soldiers had been killed and a number wounded.
NATO headquarters in Kabul confirmed there had been a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack near Bagram Air Base and said it was under investigation.
